With my suitcase packed I left to De Poort yesterday morning to teach in the DTS and get on a train to Eindhoven Airport right after, in order to catch a flight to Dublin, Ireland. The plan used to be that Rianne would be teaching in the DTS on relationships, but with her dad’s situation we thought it would be better for me to substitute for her. Quite unexpectedly I ended up teaching the DTS on some basic principles in relationships in the morning to join the YWAM Western European Leadership meetings later that same day.
Throughout the evening people kept arriving from different nations across Western Europe and this morning we got to take off with everyone here. One of the speakers this morning was talking about our focus. So easily we can end up being all busy, but in the end we miss that what God has really called us to. We continued in discussion groups, reminding each other of the calling we have received as on an organizational as well as individual level.
This afternoon we had all different kinds of workshops and throughout the next few days we will have plenty of time to learn from each other and to stay connected with the big picture of our movement, but even more so with what God is doing in our part of the world.
It is so inspiring and encouraging to be together with so many of our YWAM brothers and sisters and it reminds all of us that we are a part of something bigger than ourselves. All of our different schools and projects, small and big, together are making a huge difference on this continent where the needs are so evident.
